About BMRCL
Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) is a joint venture of the Government of India and the Government of Karnataka, established to implement the Namma Metro project — Bangalore's urban rapid transit system. BMRCL operates Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the network, with Phase 2B (Pink and Blue Lines) under construction.
The metro uses BEML-manufactured EMU rolling stock and operates on standard gauge (1435 mm) tracks. Trains are air-conditioned with a seating capacity of ~300 passengers and standing capacity of ~900 per 6-car rake.
